New Infobase Digital Resources Added to RemotEDx Exchange and INFOhio

RemotEDx and INFOhio will provide free access to additional premium digital resources beginning July 1. These resources are licensed through the RemotEDx initiative and will be accessible through the RemotEDx Exchange website and the INFOhio website. 

In addition to INFOhio's subscription to Science Online from Infobase, the following digital resources are being added to the RemotEDx and INFOhio collection: Today's Science, The World Almanac for Kids, and The World Almanac for Kids Elementary. 

Today's Science

Today's Science bridges the gap between real-world discoveries and the science classroom—giving in-depth explanations of important advances in biology, chemistry, the environment, space, physics, and technology. Featured articles offer easy access to related content such as crossword puzzles, cartoons, questions, and additional articles that help place news and discoveries in context. This resource is suitable for high school and includes more than 6,000 high-interest science news articles, research topics, and a conversations with scientists section. 

 

The World Almanac for Kids

The World Almanac for Kids is the ideal one-stop reference resource for intermediate-level students. Topics found in this resource include the arts, biographies, geography, health and guidance, language arts, life science, physical science, math, social studies, and sports.

This resource includes current information making it a perfect resource for research and includes:

  • Modules, information, and grade-appropriate articles along with interactive games, and videos.
  • Homework Help—with study tips, writing help, math help, and more.
  • Teacher Resources—with lesson plans, ability to search by standards, graphic organizers, and additional support and integration documents.

 

The World Almanac for Kids Elementary

World Almanac for Kids Elementary includes engaging, fun articles and exclusive, age-appropriate content, including online-only material and content from Infobase titles.

In addition there are excellent resources for student reports and research, including:

  • Extensive, up-to-date articles with colorful illustrations.
  • Entertaining and informative videos to support the content.
  • Interactives—including interactive worksheets, games, quizzes, crossword puzzles, word searches, and more—on topics including animals, Earth science, famous Americans, plants, and exploring space.
  • Science Projects, plus projects for students with disabilities.
  • Fun Facts articles, maps, flags, and more.

This resource also has teacher resources, including printable handouts, worksheets, graphic organizers, and classroom management forms to use with any lesson, plus science diagrams and projects.
